Bringing tenderness and meaning

  • Newborn baby sleeping on someone's knee with dog sleeping in background.

You may be looking for a special and memorable way to welcome a child into your family.

  • Child in shorts and t-shirt climbing a ruined wall

Or perhaps you want to mark a significant milestone occasion in your life journey or that of a dear friend or loved one.

  • Pregnant woman walking through field with two children and their grandparents, trees in background.

    It's all in a name

For a baby, a child or an adult, a naming ceremony brings a sense of connection, identity and purpose through pledges of love and support from those who matter most. Navigating this world can be tough and it is important to remind each other that no-one has to do it alone.

One of the benefits of a celebrant-led ceremony is that you can include any symbolic rituals or readings you like in a ceremony designed just for you. Relaxed or formal, religious elements or none - whatever works best to bring everyone together and create a calm and joyful celebration to remember.

Warm words from me and loving contributions from family and friends will embrace the person being given their name, welcomed into the family or into adulthood, and send them lovingly on their way towards a full and happy life.

    Re-namings and gender affirmation

This can be an important part of affirming your identity - allowing the real you to step powerfully and joyfully into your authentic life.

Reaching this moment may have been challenging or it may all have been a completely natural evolution. Either way, you deserve to be celebrated and your spirit set forth in a welcoming space in whatever style you feel comfortable.

As a celebrant, I am led by you and your wishes. Tell me your ideas, help me set the tone and I will take care to create a ceremony that reflects the essence of you.

Together we will create a personalised ceremony that celebrates uniqueness and acknowledges the importance of community in finding your place and realising your intentions.

  • What next?

~ You contact me for a free, initial chat to discuss ideas and answer questions.

~ If you’re happy, you book me as your celebrant, and we set up another meeting to plan things in more detail and for me to get to know you and make suggestions of special ways to mark the day.

~ I write a bespoke and meaningful ceremony and share the draft with you for your approval. It is absolutely fine to ask for changes – the day is about you not me. Staying in touch is key to a successful ceremony.

~ And then... see you on the day! I will arrive early to meet you and to check in with anyone else who has a role before we begin.

~ You then have the ceremony script to remind you of this treasured day.
